Basecamp

Walk to town. Drive to the Cascades.

Sisters is the eastern gateway to the Cascade Mountains — alpine lakes, wilderness trailheads, and ski areas all within a short drive. It's also one of Oregon's great cycling towns: road and gravel routes climb into the mountains, and mountain-bike singletrack runs right from the edge of town.

Family owned

This place holds a piece of our hearts.

We were vacation guests on this property ourselves once, and we loved it — we still have sweet memories of our kids, much younger then, throwing a dance party in one of the units. (Good thing no one filed a noise complaint.) Today it's professionally managed by Sisters Vacation Rentals, so booking is direct, simple, and well-supported.

All four seasons

A reason to come back every quarter.

Summer

Two wheels & rivers

Ride road and gravel up into the Cascades or hit Peterson Ridge singletrack from town, then cool off in Whychus Creek, the Metolius, or the Deschutes.

Fall

Golden & quiet

Larch turning, fewer crowds, cool mornings made for the patio and a long hike.

Winter

Snow days

Hoodoo and Mt. Bachelor for downhill; groomed Nordic and snowshoe trails nearby.

Spring

First thaw

Wildflowers, shoulder-season rates, and the desert greening up under the peaks.

Sisters runs an outsized event calendar for a small town. The marquee draw is the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show each July — billed as the world’s largest outdoor quilt show, it drapes 1,300+ quilts across downtown and draws 10,000+ visitors, and you can walk right out your door into it. Add the newer Big Ponderoo bluegrass weekend each June, the Rodeo, and the Folk Festival, all an easy walk from the door.

After the trail

The town goes dark early. The sky doesn't.

Step onto the deck once the shops close and Central Oregon's high-desert sky takes over. Quiet street, big stars, an easy walk home from dinner.

Good to know

Questions, answered.

Where is Sisters Retreats located?

In the heart of downtown Sisters, Oregon — an easy walk to Sisters Coffee, shops, galleries, and restaurants. Bend is about 22 miles away, with skiing at Hoodoo (~25 min) and Mt. Bachelor (~50 min).

How many people does it sleep?

Up to 14 guests when all three units are booked together as the whole property. Each unit also sleeps a smaller group on its own.

Can I book just one unit, or the whole place?

Both. Reserve Alpine Modern, Pine Street Loft, or Jefferson Hideaway individually — or combine all three into the full Sisters Retreats for reunions, weddings, and group getaways.

What’s the difference between the three units?

Alpine Modern is a three-bedroom home (sleeps ~6), Pine Street Loft is a two-story loft (sleeps ~4), and Jefferson Hideaway is a studio (sleeps 2–4). Each has its own kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, and a private patio or deck.

Where should I stay for the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show?

Right here — Sisters Retreats sits in the heart of downtown Sisters, so you can walk straight out the door into the world’s largest outdoor quilt show, held the second Saturday of July. Book a single unit, or combine all three to sleep up to 14 for a group. Quilt Show weekend fills up far in advance, so reserve early and book direct.

What is there to do nearby?

Mountain biking on Peterson Ridge, road cycling over McKenzie Pass, fly-fishing the Metolius, paddling Whychus Creek and the Deschutes, hiking in the Three Sisters Wilderness, and skiing at Hoodoo and Mt. Bachelor — plus festivals like Sisters Rodeo, Big Ponderoo, the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show, and the Folk Festival.

Are pets welcome?

Yes — Sisters Retreats is pet-friendly, and we love hosting well-behaved dogs. Just let us know you’re bringing a pup when you book so we can plan for it.

How do I book?

Book directly through this site. Sisters Retreats is family-owned and professionally managed by Sisters Vacation Rentals.
